watching "million dollar baby".
i think the reason this movie was so widely heralded is because it applies to anyone with a dream, which means everyone. even those that have children to look after have ambitions set apart from being good parents--and that doesn't make them selfish. we all have great odds stacked against us, but maggie (the main character) has more disadvantages than most. the audience sees her determination and is inspired by her hard work and perseverance. this movie gives us hope, like others in its class.
p.s. i just got a call today--i'm volunteering for ACL!!!!! i can't wait!
p.s.s. i also got a package today from dad and a letter from mom! woot!
