hope - the alternative to fear
I just watched a video of Michelle Obama addressed to young people, and she said, "Lead with hope, not fear."
And I think often the fear is so overwhelming that we don't know what to do next. We know NOT to fear, but nothing more. If not fear, then what? If not what we're accustomed to, then what?
So: hope.
Sometimes it's hard to see what the alternative is until someone lays it out for you.
I've been caught up in fear generally for the past few months. Hope, hope, hope.
Thanks, Obama.
